FCC’S ANNUAL MONTEREY 17 MILE DRIVE RIDE
If you plan attending this annual Club event, be sure to register at https://fresnocycling.com/event-4076380 , so Ride Leaders Janet and Jim Lucido will know how many people will be riding. If you have never done this ride it is a lot of fun. It is a slower paced, casual ride but it is one of the most scenic rides you can imagine. You ride down the coast from Pacific Grove to Carmel.
The group generally has lunch in Carmel, then takes one of 2 options for the return trip. One retraces the same route along 17 Mile Drive, the other takes a more challenging route with more climbing involved and ends up on the trail near the Monterey Wharf. From there the route follows the trail along the ocean beach out toward Fort Ord.
The shorter route is around 35-40 miles, and the longer route is about 50 miles, depending on how far you wish to go.

FUTURE FCC CYCLING EVENTS
The Climb to Kaiser - the status at this time is uncertain, and the hope is that it can be scheduled for a date later than the original date, for sometime in July or August. The C2K is not like our other events. There are permits that have to be obtained, permissions granted, reservations made, and it is very expensive to put on each year. So, it has to be done with the idea of being able to at least break even on our expenses and ideally make some money for our advocacy and support efforts. I would like to form a C2K committee of enthusiastic members willing to help with the planning, organizing and carrying out the duties it takes to put on the C2K. If you’re interested, please contact me at kaiser@fresnocycling.com as soon as possible.
The Grizzly Century is scheduled for Saturday Oct 2, 2021. Planning is underway for this great event, headed up this year by Club member Tony Inderbitzin. If you’re interested in helping out with this event, contact Tony (redingertony@gmail.com) or myself.
The Kirch Flat Century was rescheduled again for August 21, 2021.
The Tour de Femme is scheduled for Oct 23, 2021.
The Everyone Loves Raymond Gravel event is scheduled for Nov 6th, 2021.
Looking forward to seeing you at Biking w the Police event at Clovis West Parking Lot at 9 am Saturday April 10th, 2021.
